Considered as one of the most beautiful points of Brittany, the Pen-Hir remains very accessible thanks to its numerous paths along the coast. Île Vierge Beach

The beach of Ile Vierge in Crozon (Finistère) is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Located at the tip of Saint-Hernot, this beach is actually a small cove of white pebbles framed by a high rocky coast. Since March 2020, the beach of Ile Vierge is forbidden to the public because of its chaotic and dangerous access. However, there are hiking trails along the heights of the coast, so you’ll have plenty of time to marvel at the breathtaking scenery on the heights of Ile Vierge.

The megaliths

Menhirs and Dolmens are an integral part of Breton folklore. The peninsula of Crozon is no exception to the rule. Among the most remarkable and best preserved megaliths of Crozon you will find the Dolmen of Rostudel, the Dolmen of Pen ar Run, the Menhir “la Républicaine”, the alignments of Lagatjar, the Ty ar C’Huré (house of the priest), the Menhir of Lostmarc’h… So many natural sites to explore with your family and to discover during your stroll

Cap de la Chèvre

The Cap de la Chèvre is located in the south of the Crozon peninsula. It is said to “close” the bay of Douarnenez. The cape separates the western side from the eastern side of the peninsula with its pine forests sealed to the cliffs. It offers some of the wildest landscapes in Brittany; to admire them, the GR34 with its 20 km of coastal paths is the best way.

The island of Aber and its fort

In the 17th century, Vauban, engineer and military architect under Louis XIV, ordered the construction of a fortified structure on the island of Aber to prevent any enemy landing in the cove of Morgat. Very popular with history lovers, the island of Aber, topped by its fort, is only accessible at low tide. Around the island you can also discover other sites of interest such as a 19th century lime kiln and an ancient megalithic alignment nearby.

The beach of Pen-Hat

The beach of Pen-Hat on the Iroise Sea is one of the most exposed of the Crozon peninsula. Swimming is forbidden because of the bay, but you will still have plenty of time to go for a picnic, to make sand castles or simply to admire its crystal clear waters and its wild preserved coastline.
